Language of Flowers & Symbolism: Protection and Fertility
This one of a kind pendant features a real Nettle leaf cast in Sterling silver clay set in a deep shadowbox style setting. A moonstone (balance, inner wisdom) sits on top under an arch made from a Hawthorne branch (hope, healing & protection) making this a particularly symbolically loaded piece. Nettle, Moonstone and Hawthorne are all also associated with the Spring Equinox which represents a return to balance as well as new beginnings and new life or rebirth.
The piece has been oxidised gun metal black using patina and finished in my personal rustic style. To preserve the patina please ensure you take this piece off before swimming and showering.
This pendant is entirely hand formed, filed and polished from sheet, wire and stone with time and care in my home studio in West Cork, Ireland.
As these are a One of a kind and very labor intensive design, they are more expensive that my standard collection. With this in mind I am very happy to offer layaway and payment installments at your own pace.
