Language of Flowers & Symbolism: Curiosity, playfulness & wonder
This necklace features a Sycamore seed, beautifully cast with all it's intricate details in Sterling silver and hung on a simple silver chain. A lovely reminder of those sweet Autumn days of childhood, playing with the endless 'helicopters' that fell from crisp blue skies. Perhaps a reminder to seek more moments of silly, simple joy in our more complicated adult lives.
To create this piece I work with a professional casting company who make the most beautiful Sterling silver replicas of the samples I send them, each cast is then finished by hand so that all the tiny details of the original specimen are perfectly preserved.
The Sterling silver base is then professionally coated in 18k gold vermeil, which is the best affordable alternative to solid gold and better quality than traditional gold plating as the coating must be at least 2.5 microns thick.
You can choose to have a 16, 18 or 20 inch chain, just select your preference from the drop down menu. The chain is 14k gold filled.
Your piece will come packaged safely in one of my beautiful signature gift boxes complete with a thank you card that explains the heritage of the piece and a care instruction card. If you'd like me to include a hand-written note on your behalf, just leave a note in the 'message to seller' box at checkout.
