Tiny Sterling silver rosebud locket

This sweet little pendant features a tiny pink rose bud gathered from my garden and encased in eco-resin in an extra deep shadow-box style locket which I hand form from sterling silver sheet. This pendant is a lovely size at just 15mm across so perfect for someone who prefers to wear smaller jewellery.

Please bear in mind that the roses I use to make these are all a little different and the shape, size and colour will vary from the photos. Some lean a little more red than pink and some don't have green in the leaves. Roses have long been a symbol of beauty, love and devotion and are a symbol of rebirth after death and Spring. In Irish folklore are often seen adorning depictions of ancient goddesses and the dog rose was one of the sacred Bushes of the woods in old Irish brehon law, the letter Ruis in the ancient Ogham alphabet is believed to translate to Rose.
