This simple botanical stacking ring was made with real Forgetmenot flowers from my garden. The piece is made by first creating a soft mold of the flowers, which I can then use to cast in fine silver clay. Once cured I fire the clay with a jewellers torch to create a solid silver medallion which is set on a ring band. This is then filed, patinaed and polished by hand to bring out all the small details. All steps of the process are done entirely by hand here in my home studio in West Cork, Ireland.
As these pieces are woven from soft clay and so have a lovely organic, textured finish that comes when pieces are sculpted by hand so please don't expect perfect symmetry, they're as perfectly imperfect as nature tends to be.
Your piece will come packaged safely in one of my beautiful signature gift boxes complete with a thank you card that explains the heritage of the piece and a care instruction card. If you'd like me to include a hand-written note on your behalf, just leave a note in the 'message to seller' box at checkout.
