Handcrafted from Sterling and fine silver clay and inlaid with sparkling lilacy blue iolite rosecuts, I designed these earrings in the earliest days of Spring (or latest days of Winter if you prefer) when I searched the garden one day for any pops of green I could find, and sure enough upon closer inspection, I found some first shoots of Queen Annes lace growing up beneath the shadow of a Rowan tree.
These earrings were made by imprinting real leaves into fine silver clay which I then fired and patinaed to bring out the organic details and textures of the leaves.
Please note these gemstones shift to a paler shade of blue in bright daylight.
All the components are fine or Sterling silver, the ear-hooks are sterling silver and suitable for sensitive ears.
These earrings are entirely hand formed in my little home studio in West Cork, Ireland and the result of many hours of hand-cutting, filing and polishing.
Please note, to avoid the potential disappointment of a one of a kind piece being lost in transit, I only offer the more expensive registered post for my gemstone pieces. This service includes tracking and insurance. I have deducted the cost of the usual standard sipping I use (which is free for orders over €100) from the charge.
Materials: sterling silver, fine silver clay, peridot
