This tiny Sterling silver teardrop pendant features a beautiful Herb Robert leaf which I picked on my walks about the West Cork countryside before pressing and encasing it in crystal clear eco resin.
Herb Robert (or Ruithéal rí in Irish) is actually a tiny wild Geranium. It's tiny pink flowers blossom all through the Summer but it is the leaves that I love most in their fiery tones of blood red to deep copper they brighten up the hedgerows in the depths of Winter when we have so little other colour to cheer us up. Even Wordsworth felt moved to write of it: “Poor Robin is yet flowerless, but how gay with his red stalks on this sunny day.”
The leaves have been carefully preserved to retain their lovely colours. I seal them with a UV protective coating before preserving them in the highest grade jewelry eco resin to ensure a long lasting and high finish piece. The chain and all other findings are 925 sterling silver.
This would make such a lovely gift for any lover of nature and flowers and a lovely reminder of Autumns magic.
The little pendant is a dainty 15x20mm across and the chain is 18 inches long. If you'd prefer a longer length just leave me a message at checkout and I'd be happy to make you one.
As this piece was made real flowers and plants, take care to keep to store it safely away from direct sunlight when you're not wearing it.
Your piece will come packaged safely in one of my beautiful signature gift boxes complete with a thank you card that explains the heritage of the piece and a care instruction card. If you'd like me to include a hand-written note on your behalf, just leave a note in the 'message to seller' box at checkout.
